The Saxony-Anhalt East Continuing Education Agency looks back on five years of establishment and development—and is clearly focused on the future: What began in 2021 as a pilot project and Germany’s first continuing education agency is now a sustainable network structure for continuing education in the region and a key component in the further development of continuing education counseling in Saxony-Anhalt. To mark the anniversary, a press conference will be held on July 1, 2026. In the run-up to the event, we’re providing insights into key milestones and current initiatives.
From Pilot Project to Reliable Structure
In recent years, structures have been created and continuously expanded in collaboration with regional partners: expanding networking, refining services, and making communication more accessible—with the goal of providing guidance and making support more readily available. What seems like a given today was a novelty five years ago: The Saxony-Anhalt East Continuing Education Agency was launched as Germany’s first continuing education agency—a pilot project that established structures and partnerships in the region. This includes, among other things, the establishment and further development of regional networking, the refinement of our service profile, and the gradual expansion of our offerings.
Clarity for Target Groups: Our Service Promise
A key step in our development was the creation of a service promise: Target groups should quickly recognize who provides support for what, what the next steps are after making contact, and how collaboration within the network is reliably coordinated. This is complemented by a communication strategy that focuses on clear messaging, consolidated information, and straightforward pathways to counseling.
Outlook: Better Matches Through a Matching Tool
The anniversary also marks the next step in our development: The service will be further expanded—currently with a focus on enhancing our matching tool. This tool is designed to help identify needs in a more structured way and to more quickly connect suitable services, contact persons, and next steps. The guiding principles here are a good fit rather than an information overload, transparency regarding the next steps, and a network-based approach to ensure that solutions do not fail due to jurisdictional barriers.
