The law aims to create new opportunities for foreign skilled workers to enter Germany in order to work or complete training here. In this way, the federal government wants to counteract the shortage of skilled workers in many industries. A corresponding draft law was presented by the Federal Ministry of the Interior and the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.
