Attracting skilled workers from abroad: On December 6, 2023, the WelcomeCenter Saxony-Anhalt, "Make it in Germany," and the Halle-Dessau Chamber of Industry and Commerce held an online information event on this topic. The path of a skilled worker from abroad to Saxony-Anhalt was traced. In 90 minutes, the nearly 100 participants received practical information about the new Skilled Worker Immigration Act and the support structures in Saxony-Anhalt. The speakers also answered questions about recognition, the costs and duration of various stages in the recruitment process, and specific age and salary limits for certain residence permits.
