Attracting skilled workers from abroad: The WelcomeCenter Saxony-Anhalt, "Make it in Germany" and the Halle-Dessau Chamber of Industry and Commerce organised an online information event on this topic on 6 December 2023. The path of a skilled worker from abroad to Saxony-Anhalt was traced. In 90 minutes, the almost 100 participants were given key information on the new Skilled Labour Immigration Act and the support structures in Saxony-Anhalt in a practical way. The speakers also answered questions about recognition, costs and the duration of various stages in the recruitment process as well as specific age and salary limits for certain residence permits.
