The Blankenburg (Harz) Nonprofit Association for Social Services (GVS) has been dedicated to helping people of all ages and in all life situations for more than 30 years. With approximately 330 full-time and volunteer staff members, the association is a key provider of social services in the Harz district—ranging from outpatient and inpatient care to assisted living and five daycare centers. For GVS Blankenburg e.V., doing good work means that employees know for whom and for what they are working every day. Goals should be clear and transparent so that each person’s contribution is visible. Equally crucial is respectful collaboration within the team. The focus is always on the common cause and the understanding of why certain goals need to be achieved. This is also reflected in the results of the Wertenetz© employee survey. As part of this, the nonprofit association received special recognition:
At the New Year’s reception of GVS Blankenburg (Harz) e.V., the state initiative “Fachkraft im Fokus” presented the state seal of recognition and offered heartfelt congratulations for outstanding employee-oriented practices.
With the state seal, the state of Saxony-Anhalt honors employers who are particularly committed to respectful working conditions, transparent communication, opportunities for employee participation, and sustainable human resources development. The presentation of the state seal “The Employee-Oriented Company – I Feel at Home Here” is a significant milestone for GVS Blankenburg e.V. – and at the same time a visible sign that the association consistently puts its employees first.
The state initiative “Focus on Skilled Workers” particularly commends:
- the clear strategic focus on employee satisfaction,
- the extensive training and professional development opportunities,
- the appreciative leadership culture,
- as well as the numerous health and safety-oriented benefits.
“With your strong employee focus, you are setting an exemplary standard for the social services sector in Saxony-Anhalt,” said the State Initiative at the award ceremony.
