The Gemeinnütziger Verein für Sozialeinrichtungen Blankenburg (Harz) e. V. (GVS) has been committed to helping people of all ages and in all life situations for more than 30 years. With around 330 full-time and volunteer staff, the association is a central provider of social services in the Harz district – from outpatient and inpatient care to assisted living and five daycare facilities. For GVS Blankenburg e.V., good work means that employees know who they are working for and what they are working for every day. Goals should be clear and comprehensible so that each individual's contribution is visible. Respectful cooperation within the team is equally important. The focus is always on the common cause and an awareness of why certain goals should be achieved. This is also reflected in the evaluation of the Wertenetz© employee survey. As a result, the non-profit association has received special recognition:
At the New Year's reception of GVS Blankenburg (Harz) e.V., the state initiative Fachkraft im Fokus presented the state seal and offered its congratulations for outstanding employee orientation.
With the state seal, the state of Saxony-Anhalt honors employers who are particularly committed to appreciative working conditions, transparent communication, opportunities for participation, and sustainable personnel development. The presentation of the state seal "The employee-oriented company – I feel at home here" is a significant milestone for GVS Blankenburg e.V. – and at the same time a visible sign that the association consistently puts its employees at the center of its activities.
The state initiative "Focus on Skilled Workers" particularly praises:

- the extensive training and continuing education opportunities,
- the appreciative management culture,
- and the numerous health and safety-oriented benefits.
