Our online forum for newcomers and returnees on June 17, 2024, was a huge success! Returnees and newcomers from all over Germany—and even from Switzerland, Italy, and Ukraine—gathered virtually to exchange experiences and share valuable tips for living and working in Saxony-Anhalt.
Event highlights:
- Sharing experiences: Our participants talked about their reasons for moving to Saxony-Anhalt. These included proximity to family, attractive job opportunities, or pursuing higher education.
- Networking: The forum also offered the opportunity to get to know one another and network.
- Challenges: Topics such as obtaining visas, building a network, and dealing with government agencies were discussed in depth.
- Support: We presented our services, including a welcoming culture, family-friendly initiatives, and specialized counseling services provided by the WelcomeCenter and the Skilled Worker Advisory Service.
We were particularly pleased to have returnees from states such as Baden-Württemberg and Hesse, as well as newcomers from abroad, participate.
