We work according to the principle of activating care, so we strive every day to tailor our nursing and social services to an active care package. We want to prevent all circumstances that are harmful to older people and counteract bed rest, inactivity, the breaking off of social contacts and other passivity through optimism, motivation and enthusiasm for activity in old age and in the event of illness. We help people to define new wishes and goals. We want to encourage and promote the involvement and participation of all those involved in the care process through our own commitment and personal efforts. We involve relatives and caregivers in the processes and developments. We accept boundaries and safeguard the dignity of the individual at all times.

Open and honest communication leads to an appreciative climate and promotes trust. The employees enjoy our trust. Based on discussions with employees, the following benefits were well received. Thanks to the flat hierarchical levels, you always have a contact person through us. The appreciation of employees' strengths and achievements was also well received in our employee appraisals. We want to maintain transparent and good communication with our employees, create trust and give them the freedom to contribute their ideas and strengths. Design the working environment in such a way that well-being in the workplace is improved and performance and productivity can be increased accordingly.

In December 2022, I attended an event at the WBS schools in Halle and got to know Mr. Breier and the "Fachkraft im Fokus" project. I found the topic very exciting and interesting right from the start. After an internal consultation, we decided to take part in the survey. As managers, we wanted to ask ourselves what we might already be doing right and where there is still potential for improvement.

Training - Since 2019, we have taken on at least 2 trainees per training year. We have already been able to recruit 5 specialists since then. We are once again taking part in the "Chance" trade fair to recruit trainees for the current year.

Further training - Since 2023, we have introduced the smartAvare software. This is a digital learning system for nursing care. Regardless of location, time and device, smartAware e-learning can improve everyday life in nursing with new perspectives for further education and training.

Digitalization - We want to make better use of existing resources and try to relieve the burden on our employees with appropriate digital software.
