Apollo Optics (2020*)

Apollo is an international company with representatives in around 40 countries. The company focuses on the sale of glasses and contact lenses. With its three branches in the Altmark, Frank Menz is part of the network of 860 specialist stores in Germany. Twelve employees and 5 apprentices take care of their customers' needs on site.

A good salary is not everything when it comes to motivating employees and creating a special team spirit. However, according to Mr. Menz, both are important when it comes to stepping in when things get tight and supporting the team. He therefore holds one-to-one meetings with employees once a week in each store and talks to them about their work or personal concerns. In addition, he supports his team in their professional development by financing any further training they require.

For Frank Menz, the anonymous survey with Werteetz© is also a sign of his appreciation of each individual employee: "Every employee has been given the opportunity to express themselves. This was primarily intended to appeal to those who have not previously dared to address critical points". For Menz, the employee survey and its evaluation is therefore an important tool for retaining employees at his company in the long term.

As a result of the survey, Frank Menz and his team do not have any major construction sites, although there is something that needs to be adjusted - the working hours. Flexible working hours or a shift system that allows family needs, such as childcare, to be reconciled and provides planning security for everyone involved. Menz leaves the exact arrangement to its employees, who coordinate with each other on their own responsibility.
