The work of the district association is characterized by its commitment to social justice, tolerance and acceptance as well as openness to alternative lifestyles. The registered association's work focuses on childcare and early childhood education, care for senior citizens in the residential complexes and in the retirement and care center as well as in the facilities for the promotion of mental health. There is also a focus on social work, i.e. work for people in particularly difficult circumstances. Particular importance is attached to the continuous training and further education of full-time employees. In addition, certification and comprehensive quality management are a high priority in all facilities.

Our focus in the respective occupational fields is on a so-called complete activity. A complete activity includes the opportunity for employees to prepare and organize their work themselves and to receive feedback on their own work. In return, employees are given a certain amount of responsibility for their activities, which they should consciously take on. By setting goals, planning and monitoring independently, they can regulate their work themselves. However, the respective cognitive requirements must suit the individual. We constantly focus on this and provide guidance and support during the processes. Complete activities make it possible to achieve three key objectives of work design: efficient performance, freedom from impairments and the promotion of learning and personality. When we experience our work as complete, we learn in the process, can be more creative and the activity becomes more intensive. This goes hand in hand with greater commitment, satisfaction and increased cooperation within and across teams.

We wanted to digitize our employee survey. We were also interested in a neutral body for the evaluation.

Employees experience the greatest deficiency when there is a lack of freedom at work or when they have to work under great time pressure. This reduces commitment and leads to exhaustion and even the inability to recover.

For this reason, we are promoting career-specific support as part of occupational health management with the direct involvement of the works council and we are working in the political arena to significantly improve the legal framework for the provision of services.

In 2015, a collective agreement was drawn up again after 10 years, which is updated annually in terms of both content and funding.

Within the framework of participation and interest groups, employees are able to contribute to the further development of the organization and we support the social and political commitment of our employees.

Both the management and other employees are available to provide advice and support for private questions, concerns and needs.
