The story begins in 1980, when Bernhard Thieme, a master electrician, founded the company in the small Elbe town of Barby. Soon after, the first employees were hired. Word got around that quality and service were very important at Bernhard Thieme Elektromaschinenbau.

The company grew and developed into a sought-after service partner for regional industry in the repair and maintenance of electric motors over the following years.

At the beginning of the 1990s, the business area was expanded to include the sale of power tools, forestry and garden technology and heating appliances. At the same time, the market position in the core business of electrical engineering was continuously expanded.

In the 2000s, the company developed into a specialist company for electrical engineering, which became known and recognized far beyond the local region. Many of the employees can look back on many years of service in the family business.

Our employees are now our top priority. Our colleagues appreciate the flexibility of working hours and the good work-life balance. A good and healthy working atmosphere is very important to us, which we also promote. For example, with employee events such as participation in a company paddle boat race or a joint barbecue course at the barbecue academy. Regular employee appraisals lead to a constructive exchange and set goals and measures for successful cooperation.

We take into account many things that are considered important for employees in studies. However, we still wanted to know "where the shoe pinches" and whether one or the other would perhaps be more critical in an anonymous survey.

One point, for example, was the timely provision of information on the company's situation. We will now provide more frequent and detailed information in future.
