The Weinberghotel Edelacker is one of the most renowned hotels on the Saale and Unstrut rivers and, thanks to its development since 2022, can now be regarded as a "beacon" for the region and the industry. This is because the hotel not only offers the quality and service expected of a 4-star hotel, it also invests in itself and its employees.</p
A corporate culture was created in which the people who work at the hotel are at the center. Decisions are made together and mutual support is a matter of course. This is why all employees see themselves as "Team Edelacker".
Work is not always fun. But it must never become a burden for people. Anyone who has to drag themselves out of bed and to work and is then mentally exhausted cannot be happy. Those who enjoy coming to work, look forward to seeing all their colleagues as much as possible and can enjoy time with family and friends afterwards are balanced - and have a "good job". At the Weinberghotel Edelacker, all employees try to experience exactly that every day.
The salary structures at the Weinberghotel Edelacker have been systematically restructured since the beginning of 2022. Employees are paid above the statutory minimum wage based on their length of service, areas of responsibility and qualifications. This eliminates inequalities and gives employees a clear perspective with regard to their salary development. Since 2023, the hotel has created various further training options for employees. From vegetable carving to English lessons, whatever is wanted and needed is done. The hotel has also made some progress in the area of health in 2023. For example, there is now company health insurance for all employees, workstations have been refitted and health consultations have been organized. Benefits such as night bonuses, car/local public transport allowances, fair tips for all, vacation even in peak season, home office options, no partial shifts and much more have long been the norm at Weinberghotel Edelacker.
The hotel is currently converting its entire systems and will then be 100% digital internally. Instead of paper lists, there are smartphones and tablets. Work processes are simplified, shortened or, in some cases, completely eliminated. It significantly reduces the workload for employees and creates an even more relaxed working environment.
From the perception of the hotel management, the employees accept all the offers well, perceive changes positively and appear satisfied. This impression is confirmed in particular by the open interaction with each other, significantly fewer discussions in everyday working life and the low number of sick days as an indicator. However, it should be mentioned that the Weinberghotel Edelacker achieved its best operating result in 2023, so there was more to do. New employees have also joined the team. This gives the result of the Fachkraft im Fokus survey even greater significance than it already has.
When the first employee survey was prepared in 2021, it was against the background of simply wanting to find out how the employees were really doing. They had previously experienced years under an arbitrary hotel management, which was unsettling and in some cases mentally stressful. When the employees carried out the survey, the change of management had already been completed and had a liberating effect on everyone. Today, the employee survey by Fachkraft im Fokus symbolizes the start of a new era in 2022. Team Edelacker ensured for the fourth time in 2025 that this idea is not lost and that unnecessary dissatisfaction does not arise again.
Digitalization will continue to be the primary topic beyond 2025. Optimizing the new possibilities to further facilitate work processes is the most important goal. The range of training and development opportunities will continue to be varied and the topic of health will also remain topical.
In its current state, the Weinberghotel Edelacker has gained a new attractiveness for young professionals - and those who want to become one. In 2024, the aim is therefore also to inspire more young people to train at the hotel.
For the rest, we'll just carry on as before ;-)
