It doesn’t have to be a daycare center right away—there are many ways to implement family-friendly measures in your company.Kerstin Mogdans is a coordinator at the WelcomeCenter Saxony-Anhalt, part of the state initiative “Fachkraft im Fokus.” As part of her wide-ranging consulting work, Ms. Mogdans also raises awareness among business owners about ways to implement family-friendly measures in their companies. This doesn’t necessarily involve large-scale projects. Rather, it’s the small ideas that don’t always have to cost money or entail major investments. Kerstin Mogdans places great emphasis on finding and adopting solutions together that suit the company and its employees. Karsten Doll, Managing Director of Rettungstechnik Doll GmbH, expresses in event feedback that this message resonates well with entrepreneurs:
“On February 22, 2022, we held a workshop with our executives at our headquarters. The goal was to raise the team’s awareness of the topics of adapting the company’s guiding principles, family orientation, and developing appropriate measures for implementation. Another objective was to improve communication to successfully motivate, retain, and attract skilled workers, as well as to strengthen the company’s internal and external image. The workshop, which featured extensive input and group work and was moderated by Kerstin Mogdans, proved to be very constructive and effective, as it focused on highlighting existing positive structures in (potential) alignment with the ideas and wishes of our employees. This set us on the right path, and various possibilities were discussed. We will actively continue working on the proposed measures and push for their implementation.
